Purposeful Practice: Small-Group Collaborative Work
What students do while the teacher is working with a small group- matters! Do your teachers need help with the routines for Small Group Collaborative Work (SGCW)? Do your teachers need help making their Small Group Collaborative Work purposeful and engaging? This presentation will give participants new ideas for innovative and easy ideas to help manage and maintain Small Group Collaborative Work. Participants will leave with ideas that are practical and manageable for teachers while being engaging and meaningful for our most important clients- students.
Differentiated Reading Instruction
In classrooms all over the country, teachers are challenged to help all students read on grade level. Small group differentiated reading instruction is how can meet the needs of our readers who are not yet on grade level. We will examine texts for use in small group reading, use data to group students according to skills and needs, and create an intentional plan for meeting the multitude of needs in a given class.
